My objective was to create at least six continuous bands and create light with pencil shading. I quite didnt know if I have to shade the entire band or just some parts. So I deceided to just shade some parts to creative more movement of light.
The design has lots of movement and I find that my eye is pulled toward the spiral since it is different it becomes the emphasis. (FYI: It is supposed to be bands of different colors, so you might want to fix that.)

ReplyDeleteI love the roller coaster lines, but I feel you can experiment with more shading. It will bring out more dimension to this piece.
